Herndon residents will have the opportunity to get a stress-relieving workout and indulge in their creativity this summer, providing a fun way to beat the heat.
The Pilates + Ikebana Japanese Flower Arrangement Class is coming to Herndon courtesy of Narcisa Art Studio and BODYBAR Pilates. The event is being billed as a calming experience that pairs movement and creativity to promote well-being.
Students will start the experience with a 30-minute Pilates session that is both beginner-friendly and gentle. It offers a way for participants to reconnect with their bodies through movement and breath work. After the Pilates session, registered guests will learn about ikebana, which is the Japanese practice of floral arranging.
The floral arranging segment will be guided, giving each participant the tips and techniques to make colorful arrangements from home. Organizers can work with printing services to promote events like this, and to provide instructional sheets that share the information taught during the guided course for students to take home.
The class will provide fresh flowers and greenery for students to make their floral arrangements to take home. The event will close with a social hour to connect with other participants.
BODYBAR Pilates in Herndon will host the wellness event on Sunday, June 14 starting at 2:00 PM. All supplies are provided and spots are limited. Tickets are $73 per person online.
