Herndon welcomes return of defense networking event

A major defense-sector networking event is coming to Herndon, offering guidance to those interested in federal contracting opportunities.

The Defense Leadership Forum has announced the Air Force Contracting Summit 2026, scheduled for mid-March. This will be the 13th year for the event, gathering purchasing officials, contractors, subcontractors, and finance leaders in one place to network and discuss US defense sector needs. Attendees can learn about new procurement developments, speak with base officials, discover financing sources, and attend matchmaking sessions for agencies and contractors. The DLF serves as a liaison in all procurement areas, including weapons systems, artificial intelligence, communications systems, construction, vehicles, and electronics systems. According to its website, the organization’s impact has been far-reaching:

“The Summit organizers have brought together more than 250,000 government, military, and business leaders to identify solutions to enhance the defense and security of the United States.”
