Northern Virginia’s All-Star Comic Con is taking place over three days in Tyson.
The convention is a celebration of comic Books, art, movies and television, cosplay, and science fiction. It will likely attract fans from all over the region.
The main draw will probably be the large number of guest stars who will be attending from movies, television, comics, and even the world of wrestling. Among this year’s guests will be Zazi Beetz from ‘Deadpool 2’, author Jason Aaron, voice performer Susan Eisenberg, and Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat from World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). The guests will be participating in panels, posing for photographs and providing autographs.
Another popular part will be the vendors’ room that will feature sellers from all over the Mid-Atlantic area. They will be selling items such as collectible comic books, Posters, action figures, and signed photographs.
There will be a Return of the Jedi art contest, an auction benefiting the Arc of Loudoun, and video game tournaments. There will also be three cosplay contests and a dance workshop led by Shabba Doo.
Poster printing firms are often hired to produce advertising products that can be distributed in the area, including to communities like nearby Herndon.
The All-Star Comic Con will be held at the Sheraton Tyson Hotel from June 15 to 17. Tickets are $50 for the weekend, $20 on Friday, $30 on Saturday, and $25 on Sunday. Call 571-228-0092 for more information.
