Patriotic challenge handed out to Herndon businesses

Businesses in the town of Herndon are being challenged again this year to enter into the Patriotic Business Challenge event sponsored by the Herndon Chamber of Commerce, along with Arts Herndon.

Those participating in the event must decorate their businesses in red, white, and blue in honor of the upcoming July 4th holiday. All businesses are invited to participate and must submit an entry form in order to be considered in the judging. This could represent a time for businesses to use the marketing services of a local printing company to not only assist in letting residents know about their products and services, but also about their participation in the contest.

This year’s theme is ‘Get out the Vote’, and all businesses are encouraged to be creative for a chance to win. Businesses will be judged in four categories: Most Creative, Most Patriotic, Best Theme, and People’s Choice. Winning businesses may even want to tie a win into their marketing campaigns or Promotional Products in the future.

Entries must be submitted by this Friday, June 17. All decorations need to be up and stay in place from June 20 through July 8. A panel of judges will view all the displays of businesses who enter and the winners will be announced the evening of July 8. Registration can be found at the town’s website www.herndon-va.gov.
