What's Happening in Herndon, VA…

Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce in Herndon will present a webinar on social media marketing next month.

The event is open to anyone living in or near the city. The webinar is aimed at both beginners and those with prior experience of using social media for their businesses.

The class will go over four key strategies for developing an effective social media approach. Participants will learn what platform to choose for their organization, what mistakes should be avoided, how to incorporate social media into other marketing strategies, and ways to measure the success of these efforts. Participants can expect to leave the webinar with a well-developed plan for their own business.

Leading the event is Laura Poindexter, who created her own company in 2000 to support business owners, called Queenb Creative. Poindexter and her company develop online marketing strategies, improve bottom lines, and develop audience engagement for clients.

The event will be offered on January 13 and 14, 2021. On the first day, the webinar will take place between 10:00 AM and 11:30 AM, and it will be between 1:00 PM and 2:30 PM on the second. Poindexter will be promoting the event with a simple graphic design, and anyone interested can sign up on Queenb Creative’s website. The class is free, and all participants need to give is their name and email address.
