Chef Manjiri will teach a class on Indian cuisine next month. The event will be open to anyone living in Herndon.
Manjiri hails from India and possesses over 20 years of experience cooking. Having previously worked as an instructor at public schools in the Fairfax County area. Now, Manjiri is a chef instructor, teaching students at a private location.
The class is designed to be accessible to cooks of all skill levels; those already experienced with Indian cuisine and those with no knowledge are welcome to join. Manjiri will guide all participants through three separate dishes, which include a “yogurt salad with fresh cucumber,” chana masala, and an Indian curry with chickpeas and rice pilaf. Manjiri will first offer a demonstration of each dish, and entrants can cook the dishes afterwards.
Manjiri asks that all participants arrive 15 minutes early. Participants are asked to wear face masks throughout the entire class and maintain social distancing with others. All cooking equipment and ingredients will be made available, but Manjiri recommends bringing aprons and pots in case of leftovers. Manjiri will hold future classes on Indian cuisine, so those looking to attend another class could ask to exchange Business Cards.
The class will take place on February 14, 2021 between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM. Tickets can be purchased online at CocuSocial for $69.
