Easter comes to Herndon with two family events

Easter this year is April 1. The Town of Herndon will be hosting two family-friendly events leading up to the holiday.

The first event will be the Aqua Egg Hunt to be held at the Herndon Community Center. Eggs will be both floating on top of the water or resting at the bottom; regardless of how many they catch everyone who participates will get a prize. Each child must be accompanied by an adult.

The main celebration will take place the next week. The Easter Egg Hunt is set to take place behind the Herndon Municipal Building. There will be a wide variety of games, story and crafts at the library and coloring activities. There is also set to be a tattoo shack and a petting zoo. There will be three separate times for egg hunts depending on age; the categories are ages 5 to 7, 3 to 4 and from walking to age 2.

Herndon poster printing companies may be asked to create products that can be distributed in the area to advertise each of these events.

The Aqua Egg Hunt will be held on March 24 beginning at 1:30 PM. Admission is $10 for one child and a parent.

The Easter Egg Hunt will take place on March 31 starting at 9:45 AM. Tickets are $9 in advance and $10 on site.
