Annual celebration returns to Reston this fall

Oktoberfest Reston is returning to the town for two days next month, presented by the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce.

There will be plenty of activities taking place that should appeal to every member of the family, with a range of German food, wine, beer, and cultural entertainment to keep guests happy. Among those performing at the festival this year are the Alpine Dancers, Low 'n' Brows German Band, The Fuzz, and DJ Kristi.

There are set to be carnival rides, a kids’ obstacle course, and strolling entertainers such as Schnitzelbank. The Guns 'n' Hoses Chili Cook-off will be taking place, as well as a craft beer showcase. The Reston 5K and the Kids' Pumpkin Dash will take place on the morning of the second day. Participation fees are $30 in advance or $35 during the festival for the 5K and $20 or $25 for the Pumpkin Dash, and all participants will receive a T-shirt and be invited to the Scrambled Legs breakfast.

Reston residents will likely be informed of this upcoming event through distributed Flyers provided by a local printing company.

Oktoberfest Reston will be held at Reston Town Center from October 10 to 11, with the 5K beginning at 8:15 AM on October 11. Tickets are $20 in advance or $24 at the door. To get the latest information, contact the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce at 703-707-9045.
