Utah Symphony offers full schedule at the Noorda

The Utah Symphony has a full line up of performances from now until the end of the year.

On September 24th, The Utah Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Fischer will be performing a suite of scenes of Prokofiev’s Cinderella. Stephen Hough, a British piano virtuoso, will play Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4. The orchestra will also perform Schoenberg’s 1st Chamber Symphony.

On October 22nd the orchestra pairs Beethoven and Brahms. The program will begin with Schumann’s Genoveva Overture. That will be followed by pianist Benjamin Grosvenor performing Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3 along with the orchestra led by Jun Markl. The last piece will be Brahms’s “pastoral” Symphony No. 2.

On November 4th, the orchestra conducted by Conner Gray Covington will perform something a little different as it presents Revolution: The Music of the Beatles. This is a compilation of Jeff Tyzik’s new arrangements made into music for orchestra from original Abbey road recordings.

Top musicians and vocalists will be performing over 25 Beatles hits. Vocalists will include Paul Loren, Greg Mayo and Zach Jones. Mr. Mayo will also play guitar and Mr. Hones will accompany on drums. Josh Myers will be on bass and Andy Roninson will play the keyboard.
