Orem area thinks spring
Thanksgiving Point’s 2019 Tulip Festival opening day will be in mid-April.
Over 280,000 tulips straight from Holland in a myriad of varieties and colors will await guests as they walk, ride golf carts, scooters, and Segways through Ashton Garden’s 15 themed areas.
Adult tickets run $20, while seniors and children over three years old run $15. A VIP package will include admission, special parking, souvenir tote bag, and commemorative pin and cup. Commemorative items at events such as this usually have the event logo design printed on or etched into them.
Tulip Festival tours will be available. These will be hands-on experiences as guests learn about plant life cycles by dissecting tulip bulbs. Attendees will also get to listen to a lecture about pollinators and the history of Ashton Gardens as they take walking tours through the gardens.
During the festival on April 20, families can sign up for the first ever Easter Bunny Breakfast. A brunch will include a visit and pictures with the Easter Bunny, activities such as decorating bunny ears, and egg dyeing. At nearby Electric Park, Orem kids can search for eggs containing treats and small toys.
