An art venue in Rockwall will be running a lesson with an exciting twist in late April.
*Blacklight* Bright Cactus! is a class put on by Painting with a Twist, an art studio that runs a variety of interactive activities in the creative realm. This lesson will see attendees create an image of a round, colorful cactus on a black background. When a blacklight is put over the finished image, the plant will glow due to the special paints being used.
This class is a part of the “Family Day” series, meaning it is open to artists as young as six. If guardians feel a five-year-old can handle the environment, they may be permitted to participate as well. Adults can indicate during the registration process if they wish to just watch their child paint, or if they want to participate with them. Parents and guardians can also drop off their children provided they give a contact number to the desk staff.
Tickets can be bought using the company website. Each will cost $35, with 12”x12” and 16”x20” size options for the canvas. Flyer printing is a common method of promotion for art classes like this.
The lesson will take place at the city’s PwaT studio from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm on Sunday, April 23. Guest over the age of 21 may bring alcoholic drinks, but are asked to keep the atmosphere family friendly.
