An early May event is bringing local performers to a Rockwall audience.
Symphony of Color is an annual event from the Greater Rockwall Youth Symphony. The organization started in 2022, with a goal of keeping the classical music scene alive in the city. The students perform at a number of events around the area throughout the year, giving them a chance to improve their skills through practice.
The show’s theme this year is described as “Where Hollywood Glamour Meets Local Talent” by the GRYS website. The event will put a spotlight on the student musicians, as well as some local artists.
The event’s program includes a cocktail reception at the start, with the concert and dinner following after. Tickets are available through a link on the Greater Rockwall Youth Symphony webpage. Prices go from $150 to $1,200, prior to service fees being added.
Several sponsorship options, each of which come with different perks, are available. The options range from $250 to $10,000. Details on what comes with each option are available on the Symphony’s website.
The venue is Rockwall’s Cavender Nissan dealership. Guests are encouraged to dress in black tie attire, although it is optional. Flyer printing is a popular promotion technique for many events involving students.
The festivities are scheduled to run between 6:00 pm and 10:30 pm on Friday, May 1.
