A company with a location in Rockwall is sharing a lesson for artists both young and old in early September.
Twist Family! Cupcake Party! is a communal art experience created by Painting with a Twist (PwaT). Attendees will have a chance to mingle with fellow art enthusiasts while learning to use brushes, a canvas, and paints to create their unique version of the artwork. The piece for this event is a cupcake with a light blue wrapper, white batter, a rainbow swirl of frosting, and a cherry on top.
This activity is one in the venue’s roster of child-friendly classes. These are available for kids starting at the age of six, although five-year-olds can also be registered if their parents feel it will be suitable for them. Contact info must be left with staff for those dropping artists off. Spots must also be purchased for adults choosing to spectate.
The pricing is the same across both canvas sizes, which are 12”x12” and 16”x20”. These are listed for $35, a value that covers the instruction and materials as well as reserving a place. The reservation process can be completed using the lesson’s page on PwaT’s site for the local studio’s location. Many artists or art centered venues use flyer printing to show off and promote upcoming events like this.
