Rockwall studio puts fall spin on popular flower

A popular art-focused venue in Rockwall will be running a class in mid-November that may be perfect for those with a love of nature.

Painting with a Twist focuses on providing a relaxed environment for kids and adults to learn about and try out the art of painting. Its “Twist Family!” events are one of the types that are open to younger participants.

Next month’s Autumn Cherry Blossom is one of these lessons. The instructor will help attendees learn several techniques as they create branches of cherry blossoms and a moonlit sky with the warm and comfortable color tones associated with the fall season.

The class welcomes painters ages six and up, along with five-year-olds at the discretion of the parents. Participants of legal drinking age may bring alcohol, as long as a safe environment is maintained for everyone. Cups are available, so attendees do not need to bring their own.

Tickets are on the studio’s website, with the cost being $35 per person. The base will be a 16”x20” canvas. Parents can reserve a seat on the Painting with a Twist website without having to participate, as long as this is indicated when purchasing tickets. Many artistic lessons are promoted using techniques like flyer printing.

The session will be taking place between 12:00 pm and 1:30 pm on Sunday, November 24.
