A special event is coming to Rockwall that will give the city’s green thumbs a chance to get a sneak peek into some of the area’s gardens.
This tour is being brought to the community courtesy of Landscape Solutions, and will include some of Rockwall county Master Gardeners. Participants will be able to view the gardens and get ideas that they may be able to apply to their own home landscape. Yards that demonstrate a variety of conditions such as full sun, shade and small properties that utilize vertical gardening techniques will all be included, and there will also be time spent in vegetable gardens and heritage plots that have been grown using pass along plants.
While the garden tour may have been held for several years, this year will offer something special. Those who participate will have a chance to win a garden themed quilt, which was made by hand. Maps, guides and other publications that can help to make a day like this a success can be provided by an area Stationery printing company.
The 2017 Rockwall Tour of Gardens will be taking place on November 4th, and the tickets can be purchased online through the Rockwall County Extension Office and also at Culver’s Restaurant. More details about the function can be found on the Texas A &M AgriLife extension office’s website.
