Rockwall event uses popular critter as subject matter

An activity taking place in a little under a month is bringing the positive energy associated with a well-loved animal to Rockwall.

Twist Family! events are a line of classes from Painting with a Twist created to appeal to children, teens, and adults. The experience can offer a bonding moment for friends and relatives, or something to keep kids busy for a little while.

Due to the lesson being open to younger artists, the image is kept relatively simple, which also makes it good for those who want to try a painting class but are not confident in their skills.

The picture, called Happy Capy, puts a whimsical spotlight on the capybara, showing the large rodent holding a drinking cup, while also taking a sip of the beverage inside, with a joyful grin on its face.

Booking is available on the website for Rockwall’s Painting with a Twist studio, with the cost being $35. The class is for kids aged six and up, although five-year-olds may join in at the discretion of their guardians. Adults over 21 may bring their own alcohol as long as they maintain a family-friendly environment.

Studios often turn to flyer printing as a promotion technique as it allows for their logos to be showcased well.

The class is taking place between 12:00 pm and 1:30 pm on Saturday, May 17.
