A late August event will give participants an opportunity to support a Rockwall business while exploring an artform in harmony with nature.
Honey Locust Farms is an LLC based in the city. The company offers a variety of items for sale, as well a private event space, special vendor events, and workshops. During the summer, there is also a selection of coffees, frozen drinks, and refreshers.
One of the workshops being offered is a summer themed floral arranging class. This event is being held as a way to celebrate the season before it ends. Attendees can use several types of florals that grow in the summer to create a custom arrangement, which they will be able to place into a mason jar. The flower arranging skills learned here can be applied to other seasons and their florals as well, giving attendees a chance to create unique gifts for special occasions.
Amber McGaffey, who owns McGaffey Flowers, will serve as the teacher for the workshop.
Tickets are available for purchase through the Honey Locust Farms website. The $85 price tag covers the instruction, materials, and a cup of tea to enjoy as the lesson goes on. The activity is open to individuals, pairs, and groups. Flyer printing is often used to advertise classes like this.
The venue is located at 4571 TX-276 in Rockwall. The lesson will run from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, August 23rd.
