A local studio/instruction space in Rockwall is holding a class in mid-October that will highlight a holiday coming up later in the month.
Halloween Kitty! is a Twist Family event, from the minds of the Painting with a Twist (PwaT) company. This experience allows anyone who is at least six years old to come together with other creative people from their community to paint an artwork inspired by the spooky season that surrounds Halloween. The image depicted will be a silhouette of a cat sitting on a large pumpkin while facing the bright moon.
Adults who may be attending the event with children can choose to either also paint, or sit and observe. However, a spot must be purchased for every person planning to remain in the venue. An indication of this choice can be made during the purchase process on the PwaT website. Children may also be left at the event, but a phone number must be left for staff to reach the adults who bring them. Some five year olds may be able to participate as well, at the discretion of their parents or guardians. Over-21s can bring their own alcohol provided they drink responsibly.
A seat at the activity has a price tag of $35. This includes the 16”x20” canvas, materials, and instruction from a skilled painter. Flyer printing often gives art classes an easy way to promote themselves. The Saturday, October 14 event will run for 90 minutes, between 12:00 pm and 1:30 pm.
