Paint class with fun spin to take place in Rockwall studio

A Rockwall art studio is running an event which puts more choice in the hands of the attendees in early February.

Painting with a Twist is a company which makes art more accessible through the classes they run. An instructor leads each group through not only the steps to make the image chosen for the particular event, but also some techniques often used when working with acrylics. As a bonus, the events allow everyone to enjoy snacks and drinks, providing a relaxed atmosphere.

Open Studio is different from the usual PwaT activity. The participants are each able to choose not only the base they wish to paint on, but also what picture they’ll recreate. To do this, attendees are asked to select the piece they want from the studio’s gallery section on the webpage and send an email to the staff. This must be done prior to the class, and changes cannot be made on the day. There are a variety of subjects and styles to choose from, including themes such as pop culture, landscapes, still life, and trees.

Admission cost varies depending on which size and material is selected, but the range is between $39 and $49. For another $20, guests can also learn a bit about candle making, and put together their own to take home with their artwork. The event is open to adults only. Anyone bringing and consuming alcohol must be no less than 21. Flyer printing is a widely popular form for advertising an artistic activity. The open studio is taking place on February 4th, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.
