A camp focused on a singular type of music with a variety of sounds will be taught in Rockwall in mid-August.
Pop punk is a style of music that takes the bigger ideas of both punk and pop songs and blends them together to create a unique and often rebellious feeling. The School of Rock will be teaching the campers at the Pop Punk Camp tunes from several artists and bands. Some of these include No Doubt, Green Day, Blink 182, Paramore, and Offspring.
The Pop Punk Camp will take place over the course of five days, with the final day closing out in a performance for relatives and friends. This will not only help kids learn new songs on their respective instruments, as they will also learn about performance and how to work together.
A deposit of $125 is required, with the remaining cost of $374 being taken a week prior to the camp’s starting date. The refunding policy can be found on the school’s website. Campers are asked to come with drinks, lunch, and snacks due to the length of each day.
This is a camp that is best if taken by a student aged between seven and 18 who has some prior experience with instruments. Flyer printing will often be done in order to promote music lessons like these.
The first four dates of the Pop Punk Camp will run from 9:00am to 3:00pm, with the last starting at 9:00am, and the concert following at 12:00pm. The camp will run from August 8th to August 12th at the Rockwall location of School of Rock.
