The fourth annual Santa Cops 4 Kids will return to Rockwall this year for the holiday season.
Santa Cops 4 Kids is a holiday racing event that was founded by Rockwall Police associates in 2016 to support the Children's Advocacy Center for Rockwall County.
Two races are included in this festive Rockwall event, including a 5K run for adults and children over age six, as well as a one-mile fun run with no minimum age cap.
Entry fees for the 5K will be $30 for adults and $25 for children 14 and under, and entries for the one-mile fun run will cost $15.
An additional activity, the Santa Chase, is a fun and free 100-yard dash for children ages 10 and younger. The children will pursue Santa to the finish line, where they will be awarded candy canes.
Awards will go to the male/female masters and overall winners of eight different age groups. All participants will also be entered into a raffle for chances to win a fun Christmas sweater. Poster printing is an effective way for organizers of such events to spread the word.
The event will be hosted at the Rockwall City Hall and is set to take place on Saturday, December 14 from 7:00 to 11:00 am. Breakfast and hot beverages will be available for all participants.
