The Mad Hatter Tea Party is taking place next month in nearby Hidden Creek. It is a fundraising event for the Friends of Rockwall County Library.
Guests will be treated to a sit-down lunch and a guest speaker. The speaker will be author Donna Arp Weitzman, who will talk about her recently published book ‘Cinderella Has Cellulite’. Weitzman is a past mayor of Colleyville.
There will also be a competition for the Most Beautiful Hat and the Most Unusual Hat, so guests are encouraged to get out their best garden headwear. Those planning to attend must make reservations by March 20.
Funds raised from this event will go towards Rockwall County Library children’s and adult programs. The Friends of Rockwall also helps raise money for Books and library equipment. During the years of 2015-2016, it donated over $36,500 to the library by holding fundraising events like the Mad Hatter Tea Party.
Rockwell Print shops often donate printed products such as Brochures and Flyers to help advertise fundraising events such as this one.
