A Rockwall venue is hosting an event themed around the cooler winter weather in mid-January.
Twist Family! is a series of relaxed, family-friendly classes hosted by Painting with a Twist studios. These are events where younger artists, starting at age six, are also welcome to participate, offering a bonding moment between friends and loved ones.
Freddie the Yeti is the subject for this particular event, with the fluffy creature showing off his hat and scarf along with a warm smile. The simple style is designed to make this the perfect starting point for people wanting to try out an art class, but who feel they do not have the skill to complete a more complex piece. The group will also have an instructor to lean on for help as they work through each step in the process of creating the finished piece. This instructor will both address the whole group and help individuals. Participants will use a canvas measuring 16” x 20”.
Anyone aged 21 and up may bring alcohol, but the studio asks that a safe environment is maintained for the younger attendees.
Admission to the experience costs $35, with purchases available via the website for the local PwaT venue. Flyer printing is a popular technique for promotion of art-related events.
The class is taking place between 11:00 am and 12:30 pm on Friday, January 19.
