A painting lesson being held in Rockwall in early May is set to aid a local school.
The studio for Painting With A Twist in the town will be hosting one of its Painting With A Purpose activities. This allows for a percentage of the proceeds to be given to the local branch of Children’s Lighthouse – an early education company that offers a wide variety of programming, including classes and activities that put a light on all parts of a child’s learning and development as a person. There are levels of lessons and activities for kids that are six weeks old, all the way up to age 12.
The art lesson will give attendees the opportunity to paint a fox in a warm spring setting. A skilled instructor will help the guests along the way as several techniques are practiced. Kids as young as five are able to participate, as this is a family event. For parents to stay, they must also participate with their child, since spectators are not allowed to remain in the studio. Tickets are $35 each, with the size of the canvas used being 16”x20”. Flyer printing is often used in promotion of similar activities.
The class will last from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Those who are aged 21 or older are permitted to bring alcohol to drink during the event, but are asked to help the staff maintain a safe and friendly environment if they choose to do so. The date is set to be May 3.
