Residents of Rockwall will be happy to know that the Rockwall Rubber Duck Regatta is set to return for the 6th year. The charity event offers something for everyone, and is billed as a family-friendly event.
All proceeds support two charities – Meals on Wheels Senior Services of Rockwall County and the Boys & Girls Club of Northeast Texas. Organizers of the event encourage participation to help support these charities, who assist the community’s children and seniors.
Attendees can adopt a duck for a chance to win prizes. As the ducks race towards the finish line they will be cheered on by the large crowd to see who wins. Winners do not need to be present - they will be contacted if their duck wins.
Businesses, along with groups of individuals or organizations, can purchase Corporate Ducks for a chance to win the much vaunted Golden Duck Trophy.
Along with the duck race, which will feature several thousand ducks splashing in the fountain, the event will have several vendors providing food, arts, and crafts. It is likely these vendors are working to obtain Flyers, Brochures and custom Business Cards to pass out to those attending the Regatta.
There will also be a musical entertainment, a duck beauty pageant, and a kids’ zone.
The event will take place at The Harbor in Rockwall fountain on September 16th. The Harbor is located at 2059 Summer Lee Drive. The day’s activities begin at 10:00 am and will end with the 9:15 pm Mini Glow Duck Night Race.
