Annual fundraiser run to return to Rockwall

This spring, Rockwall’s annual Green Door 5k, 10k, and 1-Mile Fun Run is set to be hosted at Harry Myers Park.

The Children’s Relief International (CRI) originally created this event over a decade ago as a fundraiser for the ongoing Green Door Project. The project’s mission is to provide sturdy, long-lasting homes to individuals residing in impoverished areas. CRI’s goal for 2021 is to fund the construction of 20 new homes.

For this, its 12th year, the Green Door race offers participants opportunities to join one of the races in person or virtually. Children ages 9 and younger can join for free, while children between 10 to 15 years of age can register for $10 each.

For adults, the in-person fees are priced at $20 per individual for the 1-Mile Fun Run, $30 for the 5k, and $35 for the 10k. Runners in Rockwall who wish to take part in the virtual race can sign up for a fee of $25 per person. Registration will close on the first day of the race. In order to promote similar local events, the organizers often use methods such as poster printing to create high-quality printed materials that summarize event details through strategic font choices and colorful, interesting visuals.

The Green Door racing event is scheduled to take place between Saturday, April 24 and Saturday, May 8.
