The 13th annual Cars for CASA festival is taking place next month in Rockwall. It is a fundraising event for the Lone Star CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates).
The car, truck and motorcycle show is expected to feature hundreds of vehicles of all kinds. For cars, there are 28 classes of competition including Pre-50s, Custom Car and Street Rod, and two awards will be handed out in this class. There will also be five truck classes and seven motorcycle classes, along with 10 best of show awards.
A special Club Participation award will also be handed out. The awards will be given out at the end of the day. The entry fee is $50 per vehicle and the first 50 registered will receive a T-shirt and a dash plaque.
There will also be a silent auction and a 50/50 draw. Sponsorships are also available. Lone Star CASA is an organization that advocates for children when they have to appear in front of a judge; it helps the court to understand what the child has been going through.
No doubt organizers have invested in flyer printing services in Rockwall to help spread the word.
The Cars for CASA show will be held at The Harbor in Rockwall on May 20 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Call Lucille Bell at 972-772-5858 for the most current information.
