Plano gardeners invited to plant sale

The Texas Master Gardener program gives those who have been bitten by the horticultural bug a chance to share their skills and knowledge, and one of its annual events is right around the corner.

Plano gardeners may want to make sure they leave plenty of room in their agenda for the Collin County Master Gardener Association (CCMGA) spring sale. Although COVID-19 may have led to it looking a little bit different this year, it will still be a great opportunity for them to snag some new treasures for their own plot.

The public is invited to view the various plants and other items on offer in the sale, and they can then pick up their order using the contactless curbside system set up at the Myers Park and Event Center. Perennials, annuals, day lilies, herbs, and many native species will be available, and they have all been selected because they are well adapted to local conditions.

Changing an in-person event like his to an online one is one way an organization can adapt to the changing landscape created by the pandemic. Promoting it to the local area will still be an important piece of ensuring it will be a success, and Print shops will be able to help.

The CCMGA Spring Plant Sale will run from March 27 to April 10. Donations from the local community to help support the activity will be greatly appreciated.
