Plano prepares for holiday market pop-up

Santa has a secret weapon in store for Plano shoppers hoping to get a jump start on the holiday gift buying, and those who attend may find that they find something for everyone on their list.

The Plano Event center will be rolling out the red, white and green carpet for the annual Plano Holiday Market. It will be held in mid-October, and its three day run time will be filled with festive fun.

The organizers of the shopping party have put together a curated roster that includes more than 130 vendors, and they will all be setting up shop under one roof. Many local small businesses, including crafters and makers, will be represented, and those who choose the “first call” ticket option will get first choice of the items on offer. A volunteer program is in place for the activity, and those who donate their time may receive free tickets as a tip of the hat for their support.

In the lead up to the winter holiday season, many communities host themed gift markets. The small businesses that take part may find that printing services companies have products that may be helpful to them that are also budget friendly.

This early kick off to the holiday gift buying season is scheduled to run from October 10th to October 12th. Tickets start at $6.00 each.
