Plano's Central Market Cooking School provides opportunities for local home chefs to add to their repertoire, and one of its workshops will prepare a variety of dishes during its “A Lone Star Brunch” cookery class.
The registrants for the activity will be working in small groups, and they will be crafting a menu that puts a gourmet spin on traditional Texas fare. It is for those age 13 and up, and as kids under the age of 17 will need to be accompanied by an adult, it may be a fun way for a parent to learn alongside their child.
Attendees will prepare a salad starter, after which they will be taught how to properly poach an egg, and these will be served on English muffins with a topping of beef tenderloin and jalapeno hollandaise. Cast iron pappas con chorizo (spicy pork sausage and potatoes) and pecan sticky buns will be on the menu as well.
For the safety of the attendees, they will be required to sign a waiver before the class begins. Stationery printers can design Letterheads and other business Forms that help to take care of the housekeeping portion of hosting a workshop.
Plano home chefs who would like to learn how to prepare an elevated Texas-style brunch are encouraged to reserve their seat now for this session. It will be held on May 31st at 320 Colt Road, running from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
