Plano plans day for dachshunds

A Plano venue will be putting some local canines front and center in a day planned just for them.

Legacy Hall on Windrose Avenue will be rolling out the welcome mat for its Wiener Fest celebration, which is described as being the ultimate day for dachshunds. There will be plenty of fun for people too.

Locals and visitors alike are invited to bring their best furry friend to Legacy Hall for the afternoon, and there will be special organic dog treats served. Everyone can browse through the pop-up market, and a bar and jewelry store are also in the works. Pet portrait sittings will be available, and a wide variety of local small businesses will be taking part.

One of the big draws for the day will be the fun of the Sausage Stampede, where local wiener dogs will take to the racetrack. They can also try their luck in the dachshund costume contest, and there will be a meet-and-greet as well.

Special community events can be promoted in a variety of ways. A poster printing company can offer choices that tend to bring a high return on investment.

Sunday, July 26 will see four hours of furry fun in Plano. The show starts at noon, with the doors set to open at 11:00 am and the celebration starting an hour later.
