Rock and roll comes to Pearland

A new, two-day event is coming to Pearland this month.

The Pearland Convention and Visitors Bureau, in partnership with the Pearl Theater, the 1940 Air Terminal Museum, and several Pearland hotels, will be presenting the Shake, Rattle & Roll weekend.

The event is free and will feature a food truck court, a classic car show, vintage vendors, and live music in celebration of rock and roll. The festivities will be kicked off in the afternoon of the first day with Vince King, an Elvis tribute artist, presenting a concert of music from ‘The King’ from the 1950s, and ending the evening with a 1970s Las Vegas tribute to Elvis by the Spinout Band.

Other performances include Amber & the Old Rascals, the TX Blues Brothers Tribute and Show band, the 4 Barrel Ramblers, and Johnny and the Spinsations.

A curated collection of vendors will feature vintage clothing and accessories for sale by the Houston Vintage Market, while the court of food trucks will have a range of popular offerings.

The Pearland VFW Post 7109 will sponsor a collection of cars from the1950s and 1960s.

The Shake, Rattle & Roll event will be held this weekend June 11 and June 12. The Pearland Convention and Visitors Bureau might benefit from the assistance of a local printing company to promote this new event by means of Flyers and Posters.
