Pearlands first hospital makes itself known

Pearland Medical Center recently held a community event to introduce itself to residents.

The area’s first hospital, Pearland Medical Center, put on its ribbon cutting on January 17. The honors were done by Matt Dixon, CEO of Pearland Medical Center and the Pearland East Little League All Stars. The players presented the hospital with a shadow box of mementoes and autographed items from the renowned little leagues team.

Dixon said:

“This community event is a celebration for the entire community and region. We are excited to be the first hospital in the Pearland community and are committed to bringing the best health care close to home.”

Area residents enjoyed a tour of the facility with little league players leading the way. Attendees strolled through the hospital, met the staff, and viewed medical exhibits such as educational, large-scale models of the human brain and heart. Sunny 99.1 FM provided music and giveaways.

Hospitals boost a community’s economy in a variety of ways, such as their need for Stationery printers to provide Letterheads and business card printing services.

The Pearland Medical Center is a $71m, 144,000 sq. ft facility that will be offering a full range of outpatient and inpatient care and diagnostic services, including 3D digital mammography. Equipped to handle both normal and cesarean deliveries, the hospital has a Level II intensive care neonatal unit, as well as a general nursery.
