Pearlands cops to share coffee with public

Pearland’s police will be participating in a program that builds connections between local residents and their community’s law enforcement personnel, and all are invited to sit down and share a cup with a cop.

Coffee with a Cop is a nationwide program that seeks to bring law enforcement professionals together with the people they serve. Members of the public are welcome to come and have a coffee while they get to know their local police a little bit better. They will have a chance to ask any questions they might have, or just sit and chat.

According to the event’s organizers, it will be kid-friendly, and people are encouraged to bring their children along to meet the officers. As with the adults, the little ones can ask any questions they have about what it’s like to be a policeman or policewoman, and perhaps even have their picture taken with one as well. No speeches will be planned, and the atmosphere will be friendly and welcoming to all. A local printer can be called upon to design and produce custom Drinkware to use during a coffee event like this.

Coffee with a Cop has been planned for June 22nd at the Pearland Police Department. It will begin at 9:00 am and run until 10:00 am. Anyone who would like to discuss the event or find out further information can do so on its Facebook page.
