Pearland seminar to address stormwater runoff

A Pearland workshop will teach business owners, homeowners, and the general public a variety of ways they can help keep the local watershed clean.

The John Hargrove Environmental Complex will be the location for the ‘Managing our Stormwater from Gutter to Stream’ workshop, which has been developed by Green Infrastructure for Texas. The techniques can be utilized on small properties all the way up to a large industrial site, and will make use of natural methods to both conserve stormwater and ensure that it is not contaminated.

The people who attend the session will find out how they can ensure that there will be plenty of clean water for both people and local wildlife. A member of Texas A&M AgriLIfe Extension staff will deliver the presentation, and the group will learn about practical ways they can implement the use of green infrastructure on their own property, or one they care for.

Those who register for this free workshop can start arriving at 12:30 pm, and the instruction will start at 1:00 pm. As a lot of information tends to be shared during this type of occasion, offering the attendees printed handout and other materials sourced form Print shops can help to ensure they will have learned as much as they can.

The afternoon of June 12 has been chosen for this seminar. It will run from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm.
