Pearland presentation will include some high flying hunters

Many people are fascinated by owls, raptors and other birds of prey, and during a Pearland event, these feathered hunters will be taking center stage.

Mary Anne Webber, who is the Education and Center Director at the Houston Audubon Society will be paying a visit to Wild Birds Unlimited Pearland, and she will bring along some special guests. She will be hosting an interactive program dubbed “Birds of the Bayou City”, and it will include a chance to meet live owls and hawks that can be found in the local area.

Members of the public who attend the presentation can discover facts about birds of prey and the role they play in their ecosystem. They can also learn about the threats they face in the wild and what they can do to lend these species a helping hand. All ages can participate in the function, it what may be a fun way to introduce youngsters to the animals that share their world.

Webber will be hosting this bird of prey meet and greet on April 4. Wild Birds Unlimited’s Pearland shop will be the location for the presentation.
