A community event that raises funds to support local literacy programming has been planned for Pearland, and while it is being hosted by a chapter of the Red Hats women's group, all are welcome.
The organization has announced the return of its Literacy Luncheon event, which will be this year's largest function held in support of the Adult Reading Center. At least 500 guests are expected, and the activity is able to take place thanks to contributions made by a variety of area businesses and groups.
The meal will feature luncheon fare, and the mistress of ceremonies for the occasion will be ABC 13 news anchor Elissa Rivas. The keynote speaker will be former NFL player Shawn Harper. Along with the food and program, there will be a silent auction, raffle, live music, and other entertainment, and scholarships will be presented to an assortment of adult learners.
Community events and other fundraisers may benefit from the services of a poster printing company in marketing these functions to the public. They will also be able to prepare swag such as promotional Pens and Drinkware.
The 2022 Red Hat Welcome Back Literacy Luncheon will start at 11:00 am on March 31. It will be on offer at 2320 Hatfield Road, and each guest is invited to wear their favorite red chapeau.
