Pearland fundraiser to support inclusive play spaces

Golfcrest Country Club is set to see supporters of the Forever Parks Foundation of Pearland enjoy a day out on the course.

Mayor Kevin Cole has organized the first ever benefit golf tournament for the organization, which works to make playgrounds and other public spaces accessible to all children, regardless of whether or not they are neurodivergent or have physical disabilities. Tickets for the occasion are being sold now, and they are priced starting at $150. Corporate sponsorships are also available.

The golfers will be arriving in the morning to register, and lunch will be served before they take to the green. Once everyone has finished their game, a dinner and awards presentation will take place. Anyone who is interested is welcome to gather three of their friends and make up a foursome. Along with the awards, prize draws are on the agenda. The proceeds of the day will be used to help fund a community play space that is inclusive to all.

Aside from raising money, fundraisers may also boost awareness about issues that impact a community. A brochure printing company will be able to craft an assortment of materials offering more details about a cause.

The inaugural Mayor Kevin Cole Charity Golf Tournament in support of Forever Parks will be taking to the golf course on June 6. Its Eventbrite listing offers a registration link as well as details for sponsors and the general public.
