The Lunar New Year will serve as the focal point for an event that will celebrate a variety of aspects of Asian culture and cuisine, co-hosted by two local community service organizations.
The AYLUS Pearland Branch and the Pearland Chinese Association have joined forces to issue an invitation to the public to attend the 2024 Pearland Lunar New Year Festival. It will be filled with fun, and there will be offerings suited to all ages and interests.
The Pearland Recreation Center will be the venue for the day, and guests at the function will be able to participate in a wide list of activities. Everything from a photo booth and traditional clothing from China to live music, demonstrations of robots, fencing, origami, games, riddles, and other fun are all on the agenda. A vendor area will be set up, along with both a food court and food truck coral.
According to the listing for the celebration, funding has been provided by a grant from the City of Pearland Convention & Visitors Bureau. Other businesses and groups also provided financial support, and the Logo Design of each has been added to its marketing materials.
This opportunity to celebrate the arrival of the Year of the Dragon has been scheduled for Saturday, February 24. The doors will open at 11:00 am.
