The Brazoria County Bar Association, in conjunction with the Veterans Legal Initiative of the Houston Bar Foundation, is providing a free legal clinic for veterans in need of advice or assistance in Pearland.
The Veterans Legal Initiative is a coalition comprising local bar associations whose mission is to provide U.S. veterans – and the spouses of those who are now deceased – across 17 Texas counties with pro bono legal services.
Among the areas of law volunteer attorneys provide advice and counsel on are wills and probate, real estate, consumer protection, family, and tax law. One area veterans frequently seek help with is disability and veterans’ benefits.
The Veterans Administration provides a wide range of information via Brochures. Local groups and organizations dedicated to helping vets are often successful in reaching the men and women who have served our country with the information they need. With the help of a brochure or poster printing service, they can advise veterans on where and when they can obtain services.
The Pearland free legal clinic will take place at American Legion Post 7109, on Saturday, June 28th. The address for Post 7109 is 4202 W. Walnut, Pearland. Open to all veterans, no appointment is necessary. A pro bono attorney may be assigned to those veterans who qualify for legal aid and who need ongoing legal representation.Get a Free Quote for Brochures
