The warm and gentle evenings of spring have arrived, and in Pearland, that means Concerts in the Park will soon be back for another year.
Starting in May, each Friday night will see a different musical group take to the stage in the Southdown Park to give a live performance for the crowd. The public is invited to bring along a lawn chair or blanket so they can relax and enjoy the show. Food will be available for purchase, and the younger folk can enjoy using the splashpad and playground equipment. Pets are welcome, but must be leashed, and anyone who chooses to bring along an alcoholic beverage is reminded that glass bottles will not be permitted.
Plenty of parking is available on site, and people can also park curbside on the surrounding streets. If the weather is poor, the concert will be cancelled, so people who plan on attending are advised to check beforehand if they are concerned about the conditions. A community can have Calendars produced that can be mailed to each household in so they can keep abreast of the activities such as this that are going on.
The first concert has been scheduled to take place on May 5th, and will feature Big Joe Walker. Additional information, along with a full list of the artists and groups that will be performing can be found on the community’s website.
