The 3rd annual Pearland International Festival is taking place next month, and this year's theme is the Mediterranean region. Proceeds will benefit the Pearland Foundation for Performing and Visual Arts.
The festival will have plenty to offer the entire family. There is set to be a Kids Zone, an olive seed spitting contest, and cultural performances on two stages. Among this year's performers are Gazelle Turkish Folk Dance, the Silambam Houston Dance Company, and Cuadro La Tempestad Flamenco. Music will be provided by artists such as the Modern Gypsy Project, the Galaxy Band, and The Fuse.
VIP guest can enjoy a wine tasting and the Taste of Pearland for $40, which includes samples from local restaurants and caterers.
There are still spaces available for vendors and community organizations. The deadline is September 8 and fees are $20 for nonprofit, $120 for arts and crafts, $200 and $400 for commercial companies, $300 for food, and $350 for Kids Zone activities. There is still more need for volunteers too.
Vendors are sure to come from around the area, including nearby Friendswood. To make their booths stand out, many may invest in sign or banner printing services.
The Pearland International Festival will be held at Independence Park on September 19 from 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM. Admission is $10 for adults, $2 for students, and free for children aged 12 and under and military personnel. Call 281-993-8874 to learn more.
