Winter Break Camp starts soon

Irving youngsters in grades kindergarten through fifth can take part in an upcoming winter break camp offered by the recreation centers in the city.

The centers provide a safe, fun environment where children can enjoy many different activities, including gym games, arts and crafts, and field trips. Snacks will be provided for the kids in the morning and afternoon, but they are asked to bring their own lunch.

The hours for the camps are from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm every day. There are two one-week camps on the schedule at various centers, and parents can register their children for only one week, or for both sessions if they wish. They can register at the closest recreation center, or go through ActiveNet online. Anyone interested is encouraged to contact the center nearest them for full details.

At the Georgia Farrow, Northwest, Lee, and Senter Recreation Centers, the first camp is scheduled for December 18 through 22, and the fee is $95. The second session will be held December 26 through 29, with a fee of $80.

For people near the Mustang or Cimarron Recreation Centers, the first session is December 26 through 29, and costs $80. The second will run from January 2 through 5, 2018, and also costs $80.
