The Day 1 DFW event will be returning this January, aiming to help families kick off 2026 with a day of fun.
Day 1 will include a number of special attractions aimed at kids and the young at heart, including mechanical reindeer, Zorb ball racing, and a Candyland obstacle course. Kids can compete against each other in soccer or Bop It competitions, or take part in arts and crafts workshops. There will also be circus performers, face painters, balloon artists and costumed characters wandering the event grounds.
Other installations will include nature education through a Musical Petting Zoo and the Nature by Nancy exhibit. The day will also feature live stage performances by Wildfire on the Move, magician Grant Price, stilt walker David Slick and more. The area will also include a number of food options, including the Irving Convention Center Café.
In addition to celebrating the New Year, the event will also benefit the Vogel charitable organizations by raising funds and awareness. The organization provides shelter and services to homeless children and families, and boasts of serving 17, 000 over the past 35 years. Charity events often use brochure printing and special presentations to inform people on the organization’s mission.
The 2026 edition of Day 1 DFW will take place on January 1 at the Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas.
