A classic film and one of its legendary stars will be in Irving to brighten up a winter night.
The Pavilion at the Toyota Music Factory will be the place to be soon, to see the film “Star Trek II: Wrath of Khan,” after which William Shatner, its star, will appear in person.
Wrath of Khan is the second film in the series of features based on the television series, and possibly the most popular. It brought back the character of Khan Noonien Singh from the “Space Seed” episode of the original series. Ricardo Montalban played the character in both the series and the film. Khan was a genetically-engineered superior human, and wanted revenge on Captain Kirk for leaving him and other modified humans alone on a distant planet for 15 years.
The movie brought back the entire cast of the series, including Shatner as Captain Kirk, Leonard Nimoy as Mr. Spock, and other key case members like DeForest Kelley, James Doohan, George Takei, Walter Koenig, and Nichelle Nichols. The film was a critical and popular success, making over $78m in the United States, and about $97m internationally.
The show beams into Irving on February 15, with the movie starting at 7:30 pm and Shatner appearing after the film. Brochure printing can provide informative pamphlets for events like this.
