The North Texas Quilt Festival will take place in Irving next month for any local quilt and sewing enthusiasts interested in attending.
The three-day festival will be hosted by the Original Sewing & Quilt Expo, which began in 1995 to offer quilters, sewers, and needlecrafters a welcoming space to learn new skills and explore their creativity. When first set up, it was called the Original Sewing and Craft Expo, but the name was changed as the composition of the event changed to reflect the sentiments of quilters.
The expo will feature informative seminars and hands-on workshops in variety of different crafts, such as sewing, quilting, embroidery, and embellishment. These workshops will all be taught by internationally recognized teachers. There will also be fashion shows involving wearable art and exhibitions of sewn dolls, as well as stage presentations of the latest in sewing technology. Retail vendors will be on hand to offer a wide range of crafting equipment and supplies.
Vendors at expos like this often bring along a supply of Business Cards to hand out to potential customers at the venue.
