Next month, Irving will hold the 2nd Annual Expo Tequila & Mezcal to celebrate the wide and varied flavors of these unique Mexican-crafted spirits.
The festival can be described as a sensory and cultural experience that dives deep into the flavors and history of two of Mexico’s most iconic alcoholic beverages. The expo is currently the largest tasting exhibition in Texas of these two spirits, with 1,500 people attending the inaugural festival last year. Organizers hope that this year’s edition will attract an even larger crowd.
The expo will highlight the region of Jalisco, which is considered the birthplace of tequila and mezcal. Besides a wide variety of tequila and mezcal to sample, there will also be live music showcasing the cultural music of Mexico, culinary treats, and Mexican crafts for attendees to peruse.
Ticket purchases will include access to all entertainment and tasting areas. Attendees will also receive a passport for the tastings, with a stamp to collect at each tasting booth. An exclusive artisan glass with the event Logo Design etched on it will also be included in ticket purchases.
The tequila and mezcal expo will take place on Saturday, June 8 from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm. It will be held at Levy Event Plaza, located at 501 East Las Colinas Boulevard. Early bird tickets are $35.
