Irving animals in need benefit from donation drive

The holidays are a time for good cheer, and Irving residents are reminded to make sure they include a special event on their plans for the season.

The community is one of those benefiting from a campaign organized by the Humane Society of North Texas. Already underway and dubbed the “Comfort and Joy Donation Drive”, it will help abused, abandoned and unwanted animals to receive care, protection and hopefully, a forever home to call their own.

The organizers of the activity explained that as it is a multicity effort, they hope it will attract a lot of attention and support. They are hoping there will be plenty of donations of funds or gifts in kind, and to help make it easy for the public to get involved, it has created a list of items shelters in the community need to help look after the dogs, cats, and other animals they care for. These can be dropped off at the headquarters for the event, which is located at 3201 Earhart Drive.

When donors arrive to make their contribution, they are asked to wear a mask and observe social distancing protocols. A printing services company can work with the organizers of the sort of donation drive to create materials that will help to ensure the activity meets its goals.
