Electrical contractor to open new office in Irving

CEC Cos., an electrical contractor based in Fort Worth, is currently building a new office in Irving.

The new building, designed by the firm Merriman Associates Architects, is sited at 1500 County Line Road, and comprises 35,000 square feet. CEC currently operates from a location in North Fort Worth.

Amy Hartsock, spokeswoman for CEC, notes that the company broke ground for the project in January, and is planning to move in in September this year. More than 400 employees work for CEC, which was founded in 2009.

CEC concentrates in three main areas: electrical; technology; and facilities. CEC Electrical helps to set industry standards by remaining current on the innovations occurring at the cutting edge of electrical construction and engineering.

The CEC Technology Group works with its customers to help them design the application they need. They then help choose the materials and install the system. CEC Facilities Group provides maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems, as well as around-the-clock, seven-day emergency repair service.

Currently, CEC is working on 7-Eleven's new headquarters building in Irving; and the renovation of the Statler Hilton Hotel in downtown Dallas, among others. The company reports revenue of more than $75m.

As they get ready to move in, CEC officials will want to contact Stationery printers to make sure they have up-to-date Letterheads to match their new office address.
