Coworking space added to Irvings Office Depot

Coworking spaces, those that provide resources for entrepreneurs, startups, and others who do not necessarily work for the same company, are becoming more common. Such a space recently opened in Irving.

The Office Depot in Irving recently held a formal ribbon cutting to open Workonomy Hub, a coworking space sited within the store. There are only three such spaces in OfficeMax and Office Depot stores across the country. The area offers conference rooms, private offices, and other configurations that can be used by those arranging to spend a long time at the facility, or those who simply drop in.

The coworking space also has tech support, concierge services, printing, marketing, shipping, and mailing within easy reach. Users can choose from a number of plans that will meet their needs. The coworking area is a professional setting ideal for meetings with business partners and clients.

At the recent grand opening, representatives of Alibaba.com were on hand to offer support to potential clients who would like to sell on the platform, which is a marketplace with a global reach. Earlier this year, Office Depot announced it was collaborating with Alibaba to launch an online destination with both brand names: OfficeDepot.com/Alibaba.

People who attended the opening also toured the space, and enjoyed tasty treats from Jason’s deli. Business ventures like this can benefit if managers use brochure printing to create advertising pamphlets about the space.
